Our volunteers between 2010 & 2014

  • A team of volunteers from the French organisation Tortuga, Nantes, who spent 10 days in the village in March 2014.
  • Their goal : teach respect for children’s rights through entertaining workshops.
  • Mehdi, Julien and Arthur (La Rochelle Business School) came in the summer of 2014 with contagious enthusiasm.

  • In October 2013, professional photographer Danny Tami took many portraits of the children for an exhibition held in Toulouse in 2014. By showing visitors the wonderful smiles that had deeply moved him, he provided great awareness for our association.
  • In July 2013, Augustin, a student at La Rochelle Business School, introduced a community garden project for the villagers of Klang Leu. Claire, a law student, came to lend a hand.
  • Carine and Léovic, accompanied by their children Mathilde and Robin, supported them in this project and organised recreational and sporting activities as well as outings (to a Buddhist temple, to the brewery) attended by all children from the centre.
  • In January 2013, two students on holidays in Cambodia, Guillaume and Caroline, dedicated their free time to play every day with children.
  • In August 2012, three students of La Rochelle Business School, Anthony, Mary and Marie, organised mini Olympics games for the children from the centre.
  • Thanks to them, the children discovered the joy of playing at the beach, which they never visit despite the proximity.é.
  • In March 2012, two students of La Rochelle Business School, Lucie and Elise, introduced the children to playing the musical recorder.

    They also implemented various activities such as creating a mural, involving them in the Sihanoukville carnival
  • and organising a giant street party within the village of Klang Leu.
  • In November 2011, we hosted Nicolas and Isabelle for an evening,
  • accompanied by their 4 children Augustin, Louis-Malo, Emilion and Amycie in their ‘Shadobus’
  • they introduced the children to a puppet show, based on poems from classic French author La Fontaine.
  • Student at La Rochelle Business School, Lucille and Elen came during summer 2011.
  • They gave English classes, provided basic hygiene assistance
  • and organised various activities.
  • In March 2011, seven civil engineering students from ESCT Vincennes (Remi, Kevin, Mohamed, Nassima, Zahia, Thibaut and Thibaud) came to Sihanoukville…
  • to build a house for one of the families in the village of Klang Leu and renovate the kindergarten. They distributed gifts of clothes, bags and games collected in France
  • and set up fun activities.
  • In January 2010, Ralph and Brigitte came to tell stories to children.
  • Never mind language differences, dreams and smiles were shared by all.
