The Children of Klang Leu association was created to provide assistance to needy children and their families in the district of Klang Leu, located in the port city of Sihanoukville, in Southern Cambodia. The centre welcomes around 50 children (aged 3-month to 15-year old) on a daily basis. The younger children enjoy the attention of the two dedicated care-takers, who teach them basic hygiene, prepare balanced meals every morning, educate and play with them, while providing a generous amount of loving hugs. Older children, relieved from the responsibility of taking care of their younger siblings while their parents go to work, can now go to school. They also willingly participate in English classes as well as educational and sports activities that are offered by the association. In addition, the association monitors housing conditions of the families, along with their access to proper medical and dental care.
